Acrylic Nails
Acrylics are applied using a liquid monomer and a powder polymer to create a hard protective layer over your natural nails. Acrylics only harden when exposed to air. When the acrylic hardens, it provides a perfect canvas for applying nail color. Unlike regular polish, acrylic nails typically will last for 2 weeks.
Shellac (Gell Polish)
Gel polish also lasts for about 2 weeks and will not chip as quickly as regular polish. Gel polish has the durability of acrylics with a slightly more natural look. Also, gel polish dries almost immediately when placed under an LED light whereas regular polish over acrylic or over natural nail bed will take significantly longer to dry.
